Garage door mechanisms
Most timber garage doors are sold with a retractable mechanism. Slightly dearer than the Canopy system it offers years of reliability and the option to automate easily.
Retractable Mechanism

Side mounted spring clusters counterbalance the door. Wall/Ceiling mounted tracks guide the door back into the garage. Canopy Mechanism

All mechanism mounted onto “goalpost” frame. Not ideal for automation. Hormann up and over garage doors Picture shows internal lock/handle. Factory fitted 2 point locking. Eurolock system with 2 keys provided. Door can be locked and unlocked from inside or outside. Upgrade to 4 point locking available at little extra cost.

Timber Sectional Garage Doors

Inside view of Cedar sectional garage door with front mounted springs. Requires 200 mm of headroom from top of door to ceiling. Low headroom option (110 mm) available with rear mounted springs. Note sturdy hinge/roller brackets, lifting mechanism and solid framing to the individual door sections.
