Open For Infill (OFI) timber garage door chassis. Made from strong powder coated steel the Hormann OFI
is available in a wide range of sizes from 7' 0 to 14' 0 wide. It provides a garage door frame,
locking and mechanism onto which can be added the wood of your choice. The planking must weigh between 6 and 10 Kg. per square metre
and the wood used to plank the door should be dry, stable and then well preserved against the elements.
Woodrite doors manufacture a high quality wooden garage door using the tried and tested steel door chassis method and the traditional construction method i.e. solid timber framing with motice and tenon joints.
Full finishing and pre-framing a popular option for low maintenance and easy installation. In April 2012, Woodrite launched their Idigbo range. A more stable, cost-efficient alternative to oak.
Cedar Door manufacture their traditional range with no metal sub-frame. A traditional Mortice and Tenon construction method is used on their garage doors without the aid of modern metal fastenings etc. All Cedar Door garage doors are made to measure from

Hormann and Cedar Door are the only manufacturers to offer sectional garage doors constructed in wood. Hormann manufacture their doors in Germany out of Hemlock or Nordic Pine.
Cedar Doors sectional range is available up to 18' 0 wide. A wide variety of styles and Sikkens woodstain finishes are available.
Cedar Door offer side hung timber garage doors. Their up and over doors, can come with an integral Wicket or Pedestrian door.
Woodrite also make wooden side hung traditional opening out garage doors.
Silvelox garage doors offer a wide variety of thick timber veneer finishes to their doors in a large selection of hardwoods. Bonded to a thick stable core of Marine Ply they do not warp. They are however expensive starting from around £6,000 for a single manual up and over wood door.
The traditional cheap side hung garage doors in Pine are only available in the standard sizes of 7' 0 wide x 6' 6 high and 7' 0 wide x 7' 0 high in two popular styles. Customers add their own door furniture and locks of their choice.
